BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – The Baker University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed at the 90th Annual Kansas Relays and the Tabor Relays over the weekend.
At the KU Relays, the men's 4x400m relay team of Fabian Love, Birdsong Warren, Tyler Randall and Seth Acton took home fifth-place in a field loaded with NCAA Division I talent in a time of 3:20.22.
Simeon Windibiziri took 12 in the men's javelin with a personal record of 177.9. Avery Parker took home fourth-place in the men's triple jump with a 44-10 ¼.
And Tyler Randall took home 10th place in the men's 800m race in a time of 1:55.01.
At the Tabor Relays several 'Cats shined including Gloria Mares who qualified for the 2017 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in two events, as she hit the 'B' standard in the 100m dash in a time of 12.20 and hit the 'A' standard in the women's 200m race in a time of 24.75.
Kendal Holloman placed second in the pole vault and Elrington took home ninth in the women's 200m race.
Jack Taylor took eighth-place in both the men's 100m and 200m races, as he finished with times of 10.94 and 22.19 respectively.
Garrett Howland and Matt Bush each tied for 6th place in the men's pole vault at 4.26m.
The Wildcats will next host the Baker Zach Kindler Invite on Saturday, Apr. 29 at Liston Stadium.
