BALDWIN CITY, Kansas – After being named the 2016-17 Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year and a NAIA Second Team All-American, Baker University's Kelsey Larson will have her jersey displayed in the "Ring of Honor" inside the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Ring of Honor is one of the Hall of Fame's most popular exhibits that features over 100 jerseys, including high school and college All-Americans.
The senior led Baker in several categories including points per game at 12.3, three-point field goals made with 69 and she broke the school record for three-point field goals made in a game with eight against Clarke on Jan. 21.
The Iola, Kansas native ranked No. 15 in the country in three-point field goal percentage at 40.8-percent.
Baker finished the season with a school-record for victories at 30-5 and captured for the first-time in program history the Heart regular season and tournament championships, en route to its fourth-straight trip to the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament.
