Bejarano Named Heart Dancer of the Week

BALDWIN CITY - Senior Zach Bejarano of the Baker dance team was selected this week's Heart Dancer of the Week, following his performance in the Wildcats' season-opening competition at Friends this past weekend.

Bejarano helped lead the Wildcats to a runner-up finish at the Falcon Invite on Saturday with the team posting a score of 76.30.

The senior from Kansas City, Kan. is a two-time all-conference selection after being named to the All-Heart first team last year. Last season, the Wildcats took third at the NAIA Championships, matching their highest finish at the national competition.

Bejarano and the Wildcats will compete in a pair of competitions this weekend, beginning with the Midland Invite on Saturday, January 25 in Fremont, Neb., followed by the Grand View Duals on Sunday (Jan. 26) in Des Moines, Iowa.
