Ellis Selected Heart Dancer of the Week

BALDWIN CITY - Kadee Ellis of the Baker dance team was named Heart Dancer of the Week following her performance in the Wildcats' runner-up finish at the Coyote Classic this past weekend.

Ellis helped guide BU to earn a score of 90.4 and finish in second place for the second straight competition. The Wildcats have now marked a score of 90 or higher in their first two performances of the year after being awarded a 90.6, officially, in Baker's season-opening competition at the Falcon Invite.

Ellis, a sophomore from Ottawa, Kan., received All-Heart honorable mention honors in her first year as a Wildcat last year. She becomes BU's second dancer to earn the Heart's weekly honor after teammate Linda Shine won the first award of the season a couple of weeks ago.

Up next, Baker will head to Grand View's Viking Classic on February 15 in Des Moines, Iowa, before returning home later in the month to host the Baker Classic on Feb. 21 in the Collins Center.
