Juelsgaard Earns Heart Offensive Player of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY - Baker quarterback Truman Juelsgaard was named this week's Heart Football Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Musco, following his performance in the Wildcats' 43-21 victory at William Penn on Saturday.

Juelsgaard completed over 78 percent of his passes for the second straight game after going 22-for-28 for 261 yards and four touchdowns against the Statesmen. He added 86 yards on the ground to lead a BU rushing attack that ran for 242 yards on Saturday.

The junior from Lawrence, Kan. has thrown for over 260 yards and had at least three touchdowns in both games this year after totaling nearly 300 yards (298) and having just five incompletions in a 52-point blowout against St. Ambrose in the season opener.

In his first season under center last year, Juelsgaard earned Heart South Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors and was selected honorable mention for the 2023 VSN All-American Team.

Juelsgaard and the 18th-ranked Wildcats will be back home this weekend to host a homecoming matchup against Culver-Stockton on Saturday, Sept. 21 with kickoff set for 1 p.m. on Don Parker Field at Liston Stadium.
