Wildcats Land 15 Players on Heart South All-Conference Teams

BALDWIN CITY – After wrapping up the season on Saturday's thrilling road win, Baker football had 15 players receive all-conference recognition as the 2025 Heart of America South Division All-Conference Teams were announced Tuesday afternoon.

Six Wildcats were named to the All-Heart First Team in Joshua Gonzalez, Zac Kramer, Aidan Palmer, Cameron Porter, Zach Schneider, and Adrion Seals. It marked the third straight all-conference honor for Kramer, while Palmer joined him on the list last year.

Keyon Anderson, Kris Brown, Truman Juelsgaard, Eli'Sha Malveaux, Elijah Porter, and Seth Simpson were second-team selections, while Caden Donovan, Noah Hastert, and Braden Polifka earned honorable mention honors.

As last year's Heart Defensive Player of the Year, Kramer led the BU defense with 83 tackles and four takeaways, including three interceptions, with his final turnover coming on a game-sealing pick in the Wildcats' 41-38 win at Graceland on Saturday. Schneider tallied a team-high 4.5 sacks and earned two takeaways, while Malveaux had three tackles for a loss, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

The Porter twins each recorded two interceptions and were right around each other in tackles, with Cameron finishing with 41 and Elijah with 35. Cameron Porter, who landed on the All-Heart Second Team last year, had a scoop-and-score in the home blowout win over Central Methodist. Donovan matched Kramer with a team-best three interceptions and finished with 48 tackles.

For Juelsgaard, it marks his third straight year being recognized on the All-Heart Second Team after doing so in 2023 and 2024. The senior quarterback threw for 1,806 yards, rushed for a team-best 579 yards, and recorded 21 total touchdowns to lead the Wildcats offensively. His top target, Seals, finished with 46 catches for 689 yards and five touchdowns. Hastert hauled in 20 receptions for 251 yards and a touchdown.

Palmer, Anderson, and Polifka anchored an experienced offensive line for BU, helping the Wildcats to boast over 170 rushing yards per game. Baker averaged 345 yards of offense per game, posting more than 500 yards in a game twice this year.

Simpson became Baker's all-time leader in career field goals made after finishing his illustrious four-year career at BU with 51 total field goals. The senior kicker went 9-for-11 on field goals and 40-for-41 extra-point attempts this season, breaking the career record at home on Senior Day. Gonzalez averaged over 40 yards per punt and had 18 punts land inside 20 yards, with his longest punt coming on a 76-yard bomb against Benedictine. Brown has been the starting long snapper for the Wildcats since 2023.

Baker closed out the 2025 season with a 6-4 overall record, while going 5-1 and finishing with just one loss in Heart South play for the third straight year. After starting 0-3, the Wildcats won five straight and completed an impressive midseason turnaround to challenge for the conference title.
