Wildcats Draw Third Seed, Host No. 14 Texas Wesleyan in NAIA First Round

BALDWIN CITY - Hosting their first set of national tournament games, No. 3 Baker will take on No. 14 Texas Wesleyan and serve as the host site for the 2025 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship First & Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, on March 14-15 in the Collins Center.

The Wildcats and Rams will tip off at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 14, following the conclusion of No. 6 Concordia and No. 11 Bethel (Kan.), who are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. The winners will face off in the NAIA Second Round on Saturday, March 15 at 6 p.m. in Baldwin City.

This marks the program's third straight - and seventh overall - NAIA postseason appearance for Baker, advancing to the second round last year. The Wildcats earned their first-ever win in the NAIA tournament with a 74-71 victory over No. 7 SAGU in last year's first round.

BU owns a 28-3 overall record and swept the Heart of America Conference championships this season, claiming its first Heart Tournament title and first regular-season conference banner since 1989.

Texas Wesleyan comes in with a 19-10 overall record and carries recent wins over fellow tournament teams No. 4 Langston and No. 10 Mid-America Christian. The Rams went 14-9 in the Sooner Athletic Conference and fell in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament to MACU.
