Tucker Earns Heart Offensive Player of the Week Honors

BALDWIN CITY - For the second time this season, Myles Tucker of the Baker men's basketball team was chosen as Heart Men's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week following his performance in a couple of big road wins for the Wildcats last week.

Tucker put together two clutch performances in back-to-back road wins for BU last week. He scored 23 of his 26 points in the second half of Wednesday's comeback win over Peru State, including an incredible stretch where he scored 20 of the final 22 points for BU. He went on to score 19 points and nail the game-winning free throws with less than a second left in Saturday's one-point win at Missouri Baptist.

The senior from Ottawa, Ill., leads the team in scoring, averaging over 17 points per game (17.2) and recording 20 or more points in eight games this season, including a season-high 35 points at Haskell back in November.

Tucker and the Wildcats will return to the Collins Center for a four-game stretch, starting off with a rivalry matchup against Benedictine tomorrow (Feb. 11) at 7:30 p.m. in Baldwin City.

Visit Overland Park will serve as a sponsor for the game and host a "Halftime Contest" with a chance for a fan to win $10,000 at halftime of the men's game.
