Dines Named Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week

BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - After claiming the conference individual title, Gavin Dines of the Baker men's golf team earned Heart Men's Golfer of the Week honors this week following his performance at the 2025 Heart Men's Golf Championship.

Dines, a sophomore from Olathe, Kan., sank a birdie putt in a one-hole playoff to clinch the individual conference championship and finished with an overall score of 223. Dines' best round at the Nicklaus Golf Club came in the second round where he shot even par.

Becoming BU's first individual champion since 2008, Dines was also named Heart Men's Golfer of the Year following the conclusion of the conference tournament. He was selected as the NAIA Men's Golfer of the Week last week to go along with his first Heart Men'Golfer of the Week award.

With his conference title qualifying him for nationals, Dines will head to the 2025 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. on May 20-23.
