Amer Didic Named Two-Time NAIA All-American, Emme Selected to Third Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – 2015 Heart Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year Amer Didic became a two-time NAIA All-American announced by the NAIA national office on Tuesday, as the senior from Baker University was named to the NAIA First Team All-America list.
Didic becomes a two-time NAIA All-American, as he was named to the 2014 NAIA Third Team All-America team. He also becomes the first Baker men’s soccer athlete to be named a First Team All-American since Nate Byarlay in 2011.
Joining Didic on the All-America list this season is teammate goalkeeper Ryan Emme, who was named to the Third Team All-America.
Didic led Baker in goals scored with 10 and shots on goal with 26. He was also key to a Wildcat defense that collected 13 shutout victories, including a 2-0 shutout win over Wiley College in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
Emme ranked No. 5 in the country in goals against per game at .059 and he ended the season with 43 saves and a 10-2 record in goal.
