Five Wildcats Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Baldwin City, Kan. - Five members of the Baker University men's soccer team were named 2018 Daktronics-NAIA-Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the national office.
The five Wildcats to earn the award include Wei Xian Ng, Gonnie Ben-Tal, Jake Moore, Joah Hickel, and Austin Halsey.
Xian Ng, Ben-Tal, and Moore are now two-time NAIA Scholar-Athletes as they also garnered the award in 2017.
The group is among 532 student-athletes from across the NAIA to receive honor.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, and must have achieved junior academic status in order to qualify for the award.
