Yardley Named Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week

BALDWIN CITY - Camrynn Yardley of the Baker softball team was chosen as this week's Heart Softball Pitcher of the Week, following her performance across the Wildcats' three series last week.

Yardley totaled three wins across her three outings last week, including victories over No. 17 Central Methodist and (RV) Benedictine as well as a must-win game at MidAmerica Nazarene, which clinched BU's spot in the conference tournament.

Overall, the junior from Derby, Kan., logged 21 innings, allowed just two runs and posted her third shutout of the season after holding the Eagles scoreless in a 2-0 victory for the Wildcats.

As the No. 8 seed, Baker will square off against top-seed Missouri Baptist, who won the conference regular-season title, in the first round of the 2026 Heart Softball Championship on Thursday, April 30, at 12 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
