Brennan, Holmes Sweep Heart Bowler of the Week Awards

BALDWIN CITY - Connor Brennan and Skyler Holmes of the Baker bowling teams were each selected as this week's Heart Men's and Women's Bowlers of the Week following their performances at the Leatherneck Classic this past weekend.

Holmes, a sophomore from Olathe, Kan., placed third at the Leatherneck Classic, posting a 252 in her third game to record the tournament's third-highest score in a field of more than 270 bowlers. It

Brennan, a freshman from Midland, Ore., placed 10th after marking a 220.8 average, the highest amongst conference bowlers at the Tier 2 tournament. His best score came on his fourth set on Saturday, bowling a 256 to earn his best finish of the season.

The BU duo, along with the rest of the Wildcats, will host their second home tournament of the early season as the NAIA Invite gets started on Friday, Nov. 14, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16. The tournament will be held at Gage Bowl in Topeka, Kan., and start at 9:30 a.m. each morning.
