Bio

McAlister is entering his first year as head coach of the women's soccer team in the 2025-26 season. 

McAlister and the Wildcats closed the 2025 campaign with a 3-10-4 record and a 2-8-3 mark in Heart action after a strong start that saw BU earn results in three of its first four league matches. The Wildcats showed marked improvement on the offensive side, scoring in 11 of their first 12 outings and posting multiple goals nine times throughout the year.

McAlister has been at Baker since 2018, serving as a member of the men's soccer coaching staff since 2013. After spending two years as a graduate assistant for both teams, he was elevated to an assistant coach for the BU men in 2015. He was named Director of Soccer Operations in 2017 to go along with his duties as a men's assistant, overseeing operational budgets for both the men's and women's programs.

During his time as a coach for the men's team, the Wildcats have made eight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, including the 2024 trip, where BU advanced to the second round of the NAIA playoffs, and have won a total of five Heart of America Conference championships with regular-season titles in 2013, 2015 and 2017 and tournament championships in 2013 and 2014.

McAlister first came to Baker in the fall of 2008 and played all five years for the men's soccer team, while also spending four years as a pitcher on the BU baseball team. After graduation, he remained with the Wildcats and joined the coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2013.

Additionally, McAlister has been coaching at the club level in Kansas City since 2012, currently serving as a coach for Toca FC, while also carrying a 10-year stint with MUSC Metro United/KC Fusion Soccer Club.
