Robledo Earns Second Straight Heart Wrestler of the Week Award

BALDWIN CITY - For the second straight week, Kylie Robledo of Baker women's wrestling was named Heart Women's Wrestler of the Week, following her performance at the Warrior Open this past weekend.

Robledo, who ranks 15th nationally, earned her second straight championship after winning the 110-pound title at the Warrior Open on Saturday in Fort Wayne, Ind. She went a perfect 4-0 in her matches, which included a victory over No. 16 Makenize Smith of Indiana Tech, to win her third tournament of the season.

It was Robledo's third championship of her senior season after the El Paso, Texas, native took first at the Falcon Open in BU's season-opening competition and won the title at the York Open last week, which resulted in her first Heart Wrestler of the Week award.

Robledo and the Wildcats will be back in action this week, returning to the Collins Center on Thursday, Jan. 29, to host Senior Day alongside the men's team in a wrestling doubleheader against Central Methodist. The women's dual is slated for 6 p.m., followed by the Senior Day recognition and the men's dual.
