Wildcats Send Seven to 2026 NAIA Women’s Wrestling Championships

WICHITA, Kan. - Baker women's wrestling will send a total of seven wrestlers – Johanna Carrasco, Hailee Crosland, Chloe Herrick, Margaret Jordan, Kylie Robledo, Aileya Sath and Madeleine Stone – to the 2026 NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships this upcoming weekend, hosted by Visit Wichita at Heartland Credit Union Arena in Wichita, Kan. on March 13-14.

The seven Wildcats mark the most national qualifiers for the program since the national tournament became an official NAIA Championship a few years ago.

All but two of BU's wrestlers will be making their debut appearance at the NAIA tournament with the senior Robledo being the only returner from last year's BU national squad. Herrick qualified at 124 pounds for Missouri Baptist last year before transferring to BU in the fall.

Robledo will be making her third trip to the NAIA Championships after qualifying in 2023 and 2025. The senior from El Paso, Texas, came a point shy of reaching the national semifinals of the championship bracket in 2023. With a 29-4 overall record, she will face No. 3 Paige Morales of Providence in the second round of the 110-pound bracket on Friday.

In her second straight appearance, Herrick will follow up on a 2025 national meet where she fell in both of her matches in Wichita. The junior from Harrisonville, Mo., tallied over 20 wins this season (21-21) and will wrestle against Central Methodist's Yusneiry Agrazal, who is the eighth seed, in the first round at 117 pounds.

After securing her spot on one of the at-large bids, Sath will take on the NAIA's second-ranked wrestler at 131 pounds in Waipuilani Estrella-Beauch of Providence. Sath, who will be competing in her hometown of Wichita, went 37-22 in her matches this year, which included a first-place finish at the Ottawa Open back in early November.

Crosland placed fourth at 160 pounds at the Heart Championships a couple of weeks ago to earn a trip to nationals in her second season at BU. The sophomore from Carbondale, Kan., was a top-six finisher in all four of the regular-season tournaments she competed in since the holiday break. She will square off against Hastings' Jayla Ford in the first round.

Carrasco and Jordan give the Wildcats a pair of qualifiers in the 180-pound bracket with Carrasco earning a first-round bye, while Jordan will wrestle against No. 5 Siara Arrington of Ottawa. Carrasco will face the winner of a Heart matchup in the first round between Missouri Valley's Autumn Perez and Grand View's Andjela Prjovic, who is seeded sixth.

The BU duo finished in back-to-back spots at the conference tournament with Carrasco placing sixth and Jordan following right behind in seventh.

After marking Baker's highest finish at the Heart Championships, Stone will wrestle for the first time on the national stage and face the winner of Alexis Llamas of Hastings and No. 2 Haley Ward of Avila in the second round at 207 pounds. Stone, a freshman from Platte County, Mo., claimed a third-place conference finish and earned All-Heart honors.

The two-day national tournament will begin at 10 a.m. on both days, with action kicking off on Friday, March 13 and running through Saturday night (March 15), culminating with the championship finals at 7 p.m.
