BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – In their final game of 2022, the Baker men's basketball team dropped a tough one at home to Culver-Stockton on Saturday, 84-67.

Braden Wiggs led Baker in scoring on the day, going 7-for-10 from the field and putting up 18 points. The only other Wildcat in double figures on the day was Jalen Patterson who had 12 points. Wiggs was also the team leader in rebounds with six, while both Patterson and Korey Jones had three steals each.

Scoring started off slow for both teams with Culver-Stockton holding a 6-5 lead over seven minutes into the game. Baker was able to cut the lead to three twice in the final seven minutes of the first half, but Culver-Stockton put together a small run before halftime, taking a 36-29 lead into halftime.

Baker worked hard throughout the second half to cut into the deficit, but Culver-Stockton was able to hold off any big runs from Baker and with 2:25 to play a basket by Justin Batts II cut the lead down to 79-65 but could not put together a run in the final two minutes as Culver-Stockton eventually won the game, 84-67.
